Person of Note - Roughs for stamps

I have decided to base my stamps on the decades Ella Fitzgerald's career spanned through and I am combining my previous research on her hairstyles and microphones to make these.

These are my initial roughs for this idea. I particularly like the ones I have highlighted with a thicker border. The first one is the first one I thought of but I think the two shapes describe the whole image of her singing because the hair shows where the top of her head is and the microphone suggests where her mouth would be. Your imagination can buildup the rest of the image itself. The second one is a bit more playful as the microphone is wearing the hairstyle, I am concerned that the hairstyle might have to be quite small to fit the microphone, especially as the mics get smaller over time. The third one is based more on my research of jazz record sleeves because it is very shape based and using the right colours, could appear very bold. I would have to be make sure that the shapes were still recognisable because overlapping them could make them a bit confusing.
