I wrote out a list of questions beforehand because I always get carried away in these feedback talks and usually forget something that I wanted to ask about. I got answers for most of my questions and I feel more familiar with the structure of this module now I have been given an idea on interim timescales and what I should be aiming to have complete before christmas.
I understand the requirements for the animation now and I think I am probably going to use minimal spot colour alongside black and white and this will run through my prints as well. This needs experimenting with though.
I received mixed feedback here, some things like the chess pieces, mono prints and keyholes all received good feedback which I was pleased with because chess pieces and keyholes are both visual elements which I thought were strong and I wanted to continue with.
This chat gave me some inspiration for what to do next - I need to experiment within my narrowed down topics and push my ideas to mike them different and exciting. I also need to do some roughs to explore composition and arrangement.
Teresa pointed out that I need to make my imagery more 'menacing' and also said to push the ideas of double meanings represented visually. This is something that could take a lot of consideration to get right.
I think I need to go back and look at my initial research with fresh eyes and see how any of the information I found out at the begin can relate to the chess piece metaphor I will most likely work with for my final pieces.
