Brief Analysis - Leeds College of Art Christmas Card

This is the christmas card brief set by Leeds College of Art marketing team. I'm interested in this because it is clearly something very local and specific to me and it would be a great opportunity for getting my work sent out to the right people.

What is the problem?
Leeds College of Art needs a Christmas card to send out to key contacts of the college as a gesture of appreciation and thanks.

How do I aim to solve the problem?
Look at past years winners if possible.
Think about how I can represent the ethos of the college in a non-cliché way.
As a student I already have a good insight into the subject of the card.

What will I be aiming to communicate?
A gesture of appreciation and thanks.
A friendly and informative tone of voice.
Professionalism and innovation.
Portraying the College as a leader in art, design, media and communications education.
Themes and words to consider: Christmas, friendly, creative, vibrant, specialist, independent, unique, innovative, quality, and contemporary.

Who is my audience?
My first audience is the senior management and marketing team who will be judging the entries.
People of a similar status in the art and education world.
Businesses including governors, community groups, artists, suppliers, creative businesses.

The deadline for this is next week so I will need to get started on this soon. Not only is this an interesting brief for me as greetings cards have always been something I have loved to make for friends and family, I also think it is a really good opportunity to get my work out there and sent directly into the hands of relevant people in the industry.
