These objects are all different shapes and sizes so I knew that if I put them into a neat grid then there would be some awkward spaces left and some of the long, thin drawings would look a lot smaller than they should do. I started drawing out some boxes onto A4 paper to get an idea of spacing and traced through until I was happy with the layout. I feel the layout on the right is balanced and when I draw it out onto A1 paper I will make sure it fills the whole page.
On the left is my drawings sketched out onto A1 paper in the correct places, I then traced this onto quality A1 paper in faint pencil (shown in the image on the right) and added the detail of the outlines which I need to go over in fine liner pens. I am pleased with the progress of my poster so far but I still have a lot of work to do tomorrow. I am planing out my day to try and keep me on track with what I need to get done.
