Speaking of 'original' in my last blogpost, I have done the most cliche thing and drawn lots of pigs since I started reading 'Five Little Pigs'. This has made me come out with some positive outcomes though because it made me look more at image making and drawing techniques rather than just the concept.
After doing these looser line drawings, I thought about how I could break these images down even more. I traced my own drawings to select certain shapes which could make up the image, rather than line and then moved onto paper cut which made me simplify things even more. I think this was a good exercise for me because I often get caught up with making detailed drawings (like the first drawing of the pig wearing the tie) when its sometimes best to keep things simple and see how little I can get away with.
